Hello,
I am new to this board and wanted to first say hello to all of you out there. This seems like a really friendly, informative place!
I am just in love with American Girl dolls! I buy and sell and it has become a total obsession! My house is full of them and I can't get my hands on enough of them. I especially adore Felicity and the wonderful accessories for the dolls.
I recently acquired a large lot of bitty baby items. I have no experience with these dolls but am quickly learning to love them as well. I wanted to ask if anyone had any tips on cleaning the dolls? Would soft scrub with bleach take out the color? I have used these on Barbie's and have gotten excellent results. Also AG recommends a solution of water and fabric softener for frizzy hair but have any of you had better results with any other methods?
Thanks and I look forward to reading your replies.

Hello! Welcome to the board. My 7 year old daughter has had Bitty Baby since she was 3 and still loves her. My daughter and I are both getting AG historicals for Christmas, Felicity for her and Josefina for myself.

Thanks for all your great suggestions. I tried the baking soda and water and it worked like a charm. I tried the steamer but not sure if I was doing it right or for long enough, any more hints on that?
Also, thanks for all the welcomes! What a warm place this is.

Hi Brenda!
Welcome to the board!
The proportions on the fabric softener and water are water: softener, 2:1. Also, when using a steamer, be sure to use one with all plastic parts, because any hot metal parts will increase the frizziness. Here are the threads that I found that I think have hair care tips....
